Day 12: 486 words on "Madame Park's Academy II," bringing me to the end of chapter 20, which I just posted.
Tonight I tried using a focus timer for the first time. I set a 15 minute timer and started it with the intention that until that time went off I would not leave the chapter I was writing. I wouldn't switch to another chapter to continuity-check something. I wouldn't go to the browser to research anything. I wouldn't pick up my phone to check an alert. I wouldn't even go to YouTube Music to change songs if something I didn't like came on. It works like a charm: These 486 words were all done in those 15 minutes!
