I've recently realised that I still fail at that, despite having long since gotten into the habit of writing every day. Your example is my new goal, writing proper fic - and preferably at one project at a time - continuously. How do you manage to stick to it even when RL demands are high, energy and creativity is low, you're overwhelmed and so on?
