ysilme here: I didn't count the words today, but continued at edits and drafts for my nostalgia drawer project, as well as various research notes.

sylvanwitch here: I added 524 words to Chapter 18, most of them ratcheting up the tension between the MCs.

Day 5: 100 words of werewolf fic; total word count 15,100.

(My writing time was eaten up by family drama, sigh. My mom has unfortunately not grasped the concept that when she is having difficulties in her relationship with her son-in-law, the proper person to pour out her bitter feelings and accusations to is not the daughter married to that son-in-law, but some unrelated friend who can sympathize, bitch about in-laws, and give her emotional support. To be clear, I am not that daughter, but the other daughter, trying to pour oil on the water. Arrrgh.)

Oh, no! The whole situation seems so fraught! Ugh. I am sending you lots of patience and cooler heads prevailing type energy. :-)

Also, go you for getting any words down, given the circumstances!

ARGH indeed! Don't put the person with twin loyalties in the middle, sheesh! Your scheme of complaining to someone completely unrelated, with no loyalty to anyone but the complainer and CERTAINLY with no stake of their own in the dispute, is a very excellent one. I hope things smooth out quickly!

Aug 5: After I checked in yesterday, I wrote a second 800 words on the new story. And then today I wrote 2300 words on the new story.

I am now up to the kissing! (But kissing is for tomorrow, whew!)

5 Aug - amnesty sentence. This writing while camping at an event thing is harder than I thought it would be.

Oh, I can imagine there are myriad obstacles making writing difficult. Go, you, for writing that amnesty sentence! And have fun at the event! :-)

Day 5: 600 words. Still not sure where I really am with this chapter—I can't believe I'm almost at the end of the story, I think the trouble is—but I think it might be approaching a complete first draft?...

Oh, boy, do I know the feeling you're describing here. I was having it too for most of chapter 17, which draaaaaaged because I didn't want to be done with the novel. Chapter 18 is going much smoother for me because I think I've mostly gotten past that reluctance, but I definitely feel what you're describing here and applaud those 600 words. YAY! :-)
