ysilme here: I'm back at writing, sitting at the second draft of my WIP, currently fighting the opening scene. I've got three sentences so far which I've rewritten perhaps ten times, but it's slowly getting there. IDK - over the last year or so, actually getting the start of any given story right has become a major issue for me.

sylvanwitch here: I chose a random word generator, which gave me eight words, and I wrote two exercise snippets using one each of those words. I wanted to let the flash fic percolate for a full day, and today was busy, as well, so I didn't want to try to force the ending. Maybe tomorrow? Who knows. :-)

ysilme here: I vanquished the recalcitrant opening scene and got 219 words for it, yay! It's not finished as I ran out of time due to RL happening unexpectedly, but I seem to be on a good way with it.

sylvanwitch here: Another busy (good-busy) day, but I started it with a third of those word prompts from yesterday's word generator list and got 385 words of something that may or may not ever be more. I like these random bits and bobs. They feel cleansing. I still have to finish the flash fic, but I'm waiting until tomorrow, when T's at work and I have the house to myself for the day. I need that kind of quiet for this kind of struggle. ;-)
