ysilme here: 243 words for me, for the same drawer fic. Very little time today, and I'm exhausted; I've helped our awesome vet prepare to clean the new practice buildings after some renovations, as the workers left the place in a horrible mess. Now my hands and lower arms are quite achy from hours of using a steam cleaner, so no more typing today.

sylvanwitch here: Back to school after break and a weather day, tired as all get out, but I managed to add 820 to the ambush project, which put it at just over 50K so far.

On a different note, we still need someone to volunteer for March. We are unable to take March. Is there anyone up for hosting this coming month?

Some days, that's the best that real life can give us, and it's perfectly okay! For me, anyway, just the knowing that I did even that little bit makes me feel better about my writing as a whole. I hope you get the same little thrill of satisfaction. :-)

I find this kind of noodling around can be really rewarding, particularly if it takes the story in a more interesting direction and/or makes it tighter, clearer, etc. I hope you're enjoying the process. :-)

I can relate. Good for you for recognizing when it's done. I find sticking the ending is often the most difficult part of writing for me.

Oh, dear. Well, again, I'm big on the idea of at least "clocking in" to keep my brain in the habit. That makes the momentum required to really get going again a little less difficult to summon.

I'm having a really hard time keeping up with checking in this month. And now I'm in the middle of a family...thing. Nothing serious, but distracting. My mother is staying with us while her floor is being torn up and replaced. That's just one part of it... (I get along great with my mom, but the whole thing is exhausting.)

So, anyway. I've been writing everyday on the Fluff Bingo squares, but a bingo is not gonna happen. I'll be lucky if I get one or two stories in during amnesty. (See above.) Right now I'm not feeling excited about any of the stories, but today was a mess. I hope I feel better about it tomorrow.

I'm sorry things are in upheaval. Even when it's not for bad reasons, the breaking of routines is definitely stressful. I hope that you find some balance soon and that things get back to whatever you consider closest to normal in your life. :-)

Sympathies on the family ado! Even "just" living togteher in unexpected ways can be quite taxing, no matter how well you get along. Congrats on managing to write even so!
"Every day", does that mean every day since you last checked in, or for the whole month?

Checking in for the days I missed the check-in on, because of life reasons. On days 23-25 I wrote little snippets continuing the ficlet I'd been working on, and yesterday (Day 26), I wrote down a few hundred words on character sheets of my historical-novel-in-planning.

I hope someone's found to host March! While I technically could do it, my health's been all over the place the last few weeks, so I'd rather not commit at this point.

Yay for sketching out things ahead of time! (I'm a planner, and when I challenge myself to write more free-form, the results are...um...post-modern. ;-). Anyway, if you're doing something new-to-you and it's working out, that's awesome! Yay!
