ysilme here: Weather is lovely, internet issue unresolved without much chance of doing so here, so I'll stick to just posting the daily entries as I write them offline anyway. Please bear with me if I'm slow to respond to some issue you might mention, as I'm delayed in keeping up with your comments.
My own tally will follow later, too, as I'm only starting to write now for today. We've had a delightful day of catching up with sleep, reading, lots of leisure and listening to music, and a lovely long walk in the sun which graced us with beautiful weather against all predictions. It was very cold and windy, but we had sparking reflections on the sea, tangy sea and salt air, cries of gulls, and sand and pebbles under our feet - I couldn't possibly ask for more. I've also been reminded once again that being at the sea even for a few hours is a kind of instant battery filling and mental relaxation for me.
Which brings me to a general question: do you have places, rituals, occasions which work in a similar way for you?

sylvanwitch here: I wrote 1029 words on the ambush project; it's flowing nicely, and I'm hoping that remains the case. As to the question
ysilme asked, I engaged in a battery-charging ritual just this morning. After bone-chilling cold and tons of snow, we're getting a thaw, so it was in the mid-forties (F) today, and the sun was blazing away for most of the day. I took a long walk around the block, which for me means about 2.5 miles, much of it along the river, which was glinting silver in the sunlight and absolutely mobbed with Canada geese. About halfway through the walk, I realized I had been grinning uncontrollably and completely unconsciously for some time, and even once I discovered it, I didn't change my expression. I definitely felt completely rejuvenated being out in nature for an hour or so, and I reminded myself for the umpteenth time that it's ALWAYS a restorative for me, so I should do it more often.

Date: 2019-02-04 11:46 pm (UTC)That said, to c&p what I told another friend when I posted it: What I wanna know is why it is so difficult to find a happy medium between "write 4500 words in 7.5hrs without noticing it might be wise to pause to eat, drink, pee, or sleep" (that is what happened Friday night, except it was mostly Saturday morning) and "stare dolefully at the blank screen, knowing exactly what happens next but not having any idea how to make it WORDS" (that is the project I was kicking at all week).

Date: 2019-02-04 10:33 pm (UTC)*g* I know this! When I started with WED, my alibi sentences really were just that, often enough not more than 5 words. But every time I felt like an alibi sentence, a bit more happened, and by now it's usually around 50 words or so. On the other hand, my alibi sentences often are parts I'm going to delete the next day, but at least they got me over some hurdle or other.

Date: 2019-02-04 08:59 am (UTC)For me, spending time in a forest is a similarly recharging, refreshing time. Also other natural places, for example walking by a lake if there's not too much human-built stuff on the view at the same time. And now that we've got tons of snow here, sometimes just a snowy enough landscape can be good! Again, as long as there's not too much things people have built.

Date: 2019-02-04 01:25 pm (UTC)Like you, I prefer my landscapes as human-free as possible, where the vista isn't interrupted too often by built structures. I find contemplating a landscape free of human interference very soothing.
