ysilme here: I got some nice writing time in yesterday after posting the tally, and ended up with just shy of 1k for the holiday fic. Today was somewhat productive already, too, with about 800 words so far, split between the holiday fic and a first draft for a possible pinch-hit.
sylvanwitch here: I wrote 636 on the ambush project, and half of them were words I really liked. (The other half were okay--this is a rough draft, and I'm letting it be that.) Let me confirm here that I will be posting tomorrow, as ysilme noted above. I usually post around 7:00pm EST.

sylvanwitch here, pleased to report 632 words on the ambush project despite being exhausted because two displaced raccoons woke me up at 4:15am when they climbed to the very slender top of a tree outside my bedroom window and proceeded to chatter to one another in a panic in our 60mph wind gusts. (It's still windy as hell here; I'm awfully tired of the noise. It's like have freight trains pass constantly right over our heads.) It was surreal and really unsettling; I thought the fluffy jerks were going to be flung to their deaths, but I think that they probably climbed down after the initial terror wore off. Given the number of new deadfall trees on the land between our house and our neighbor's, I suspect they lost the tree they were hibernating in. Poor things. I hope they've found a warm replacement; it's cold out there.
