I also wish you luck in finding which thing your inspiration wants to fasten itself to. I've had that situation myself and, to an extent, still do, as I'm allowing fanfiction to eat my writing time lately when I *should* be working on a certain ambush project or the project the ambush project ambushed. ;-)
