ysilme here: about 100 words of alibi sentence today; I've been just too busy otherwise.

sylvanwitch here: 1045 words, entirely defensive because if I don't have some down time free of stress and too many spinning plates, I'm going to...well, I don't know what, exactly, but something dramatic, I'm sure!

[december is hella busy, but ive enjoyed my day off work, done 700 words for day 3 - my shoulder feels better and ive been able to do a couple of things around the house too ]

Thanks. I'm spending all my time huddled at my computer desk. I can write while bundled in blankets.

Knitting helps keep me warm, and the finished product is cosy too.

Not a lot of words (today, and none at all before today this month) but I did manage to finish my Yuletide canon review and do some planning for two assignments \o/

About a thousand words of exchange fic, the last bit of which is an outline for the rest that'll probably be another ~2k. This is doable over the next couple of days before it's due. :)

Day 3: approximately one page longhand. I am not sure how many stabs I am going to have to take at this conversation but today I also assembled all the typed bits that relate to previous versions of the conversation into its own document, hoping that if I stared at it long enough it would coalesce into one coherent conversation that covers everything I need it to without being entirely stilted. Didn't work and I had to pick up the pen again but at least I got the page out of it.

This sounds like a magic wand moment (which is when, during a difficult writing bit, I wish I had a magic wand that would simply put all the right words in the right order). Good luck!

ysilme: good job getting your alibi sentence in, even with everything being so busy!

sylvanwitch: ...a dramatic dance-off, perhaps? Or you can do what I was doing today whenever the stress got too much: imitating the wavy-arm inflatable tube people you see in front of car dealerships and the like. (IT WORKS VERY NICELY THANK YOU.) Whatever you opt to do, that's an impressive word count for someone with so many spinning plates!


Check-in: a couple paragraphs on the new story, plus typing up my longhand from the last couple of days. I got beta comments back on the other story today, so that's next up. (Provided I have brain for it tomorrow.)

managed 1279 words on the prodigal son holiday exchange and it's 'done' + 1584 words on the Pson dark fic and finished a chapter

I try hard...okay basically I keep doing word sprints on discord and I'm competitive

I'm in awe as usual. Do you keep all those words from word sprints? I found I can do a LOT of words when motivated and prompted and having a good idea, but most times, most of this has to be edited in a major way, while words written without sprinting or so are much more likely to be final.

Honestly I do keep most of my words while sprinting and if I go slow, it's usually because I'm struggling and that's what gets clipped out. Don't get me wrong, I DO have to edited it to smooth it out and there is usuually some super weird sentences or things that I'm like I have NO idea what I even meant there but for the most part I access the right part of my brain.

Day 3: 223 words for me tonight! Lost track of time and got a late start, but that's still a couple hundred words written, so not too bad.

Dec 3 -- 100 words, some notes, a couple more lines on the wreath poem, thinking about the poem from yesterday, and I think it is a complete thing, and will work for the current Fan Flashworks challenge. Need to find it a title and post it. Mayhap tomorrow.

I'm so behind with everything this time... /O\ just wanted to leave you some love for your writing and your novel, and all the sympathies about the spinning plates! Interesting analogy, by the way; we call it having too many balls (from juggling) in the air. *g* And don't I know that only too well... *hugs*
