I forgot to mention the daily entries will usually go up around midnight on CET, I hope that won't be a bother for anyone. (Ysilme)

~ ~ ~

[personal profile] ysilme here: I was too busy for more than an alibi sentence on my current WIP beyond lots of meta and a blog entry - but words are words, after all, and words were written. My goals for March are finishing a short WIP I commited to with the challenge, and hopefully also create some fanworks for Back to Middle-earth Month, including new inspiration for existing WIPs, or new parts for existing series started at older rounds of the yearly fest. I also have the next long chapter to write of a published WIP, and to work at my magnum opus WIP, but if I manage anything of either remains to be seen. ;op

[personal profile] sylvanwitch here: I moderated the student writing club today, and we modified a neat exercise from an old Writer's Digest, which was a big hit and led to yet another original short story start, with 521 words of story and notes for the rest of it.

Thanks! :o) The unfortunate thing is that I'm using these to procrastinate from writing fic. ;op But the last few days have been so many ways of crazy I'm grateful I did manage to do some alibi sentences at least.
You sound quite producive as well, go you! *\O/*

I need to check in for both Days 1 and 2, both spent writing plenty on this that are not fiction, but one of them is fiction commentary, and the other involves fictional worldviews, so they both count.

YAY for words! Slow and steady wins the race, I've found, particularly when I'm distracted and/or emotionally unsteady. I hope the writing is helping. *hugs*

The exercise was from Writer's Digest Jan/Feb 2021 edition, page 52. They'd had a contest earlier asking people to write the first sentence to a story that would relate to a photo prompt. The prompt photo featured four people holding what looked like a pool of energy (light swirls, sort of) at four more or less equidistant points. We each had to choose a sentence from the winning ten opening sentences and write something related to the sentence.
