zwei_hexen: Sketched feather with text: Write every day Ysilme Sylvanwitch (Default)
[personal profile] zwei_hexen
Peaceful summer scene at the shore with a quote by Doris Lessing saying "Advice to young writers? Always the same advice: learn to trust your own judgement, learn inner independence, learn to trust that time will sort the good from the bad—including your own bad."

For this round, we're planning to give you a writing quote on most days, set on pics of ours, for you to enjoy or perhaps even provide some inspiration. Please let us know if you're having any issues with the images or the thumbnail size.

[personal profile] ysilme here: no written words yet today. I've been busy with errands and garden work and am only now sitting down to write, but am quite tired already... This morning, I've re-read most of the finished chapter of my current fannish WIP, to get the right tone for the final version of the next chapter which I'm going to tackle now, but not many words might happen in the process.

[personal profile] sylvanwitch here: I had a very stressful thing to get through today, but I did it, and it turned out okay, and then we had a lovely bike ride and some supper, and I got some words in, as well, 307 on the hell disco story.

Day 3: 855 words on my fic, progressing the subplot. (LOL, why did I think this fic would ever be short? There's a case subplot!!) And now I'm going AFK to enjoy the sun. :-)

[personal profile] sylvanwitch: Good job on getting through the stressful thing, well done! And congrats on the words as well!

July 2: Threw out yesterday's words and wrote new ones -- 750 words, thereby finishing the fucking scene. Which is far far better than what had originally been there, or any of the intermediate attempts. No idea how I'll fit this new scene to the material that comes after, but hey, that's tomorrow's problem.

Thanks! I will! I've noticed an uptick in charity anthologies around the themes of body horror/lack of autonomy related to the whole Roe mess. Some of the calls look great. My headspace sucks right now, but I might give one of those a shot. Not saying my story would be accepted, but I'd love to participate to support the fight, you know?

I hear you. I haven't seen those but it doesn't surprise me. I don't think I'd be good at body h orror. I did send in one story to a charity anthology haven't heard back (this was for homelessness)
