Day 6: 600 words, and... I think that's a first draft of chapter 20. As usual it still needs a lot of redrafting, but we'll see how that goes later!

Day 6: alibi 100 500 words on linguistics space opera. I spent all day composing instead, since I'm about to go on vacation for a week (i.e. away from my music rig) and I wanted to lay down the French horns and trumpets so I could export a reference track to think about during vacation lol.

Congrats to complicated words happening for you! That's a useful approach for such situations. For my current nostalgia project I'm weaving snippets from a bunch of different WIPs about two different but related characters together. I've now taken to also going the bullet point route, adding different fonts and colours to the text to have a better overview what to keep, what to rewrite, and what to discard but still need for context. I swear this looks more complex than my master thesis drafts looked. LOL

I also added 1,6k to my tally yesterday writing even more for the nostalgia project, plus non-mentioned hours of editing, looking through files, and having fun re-reading my old, mostly badly-written but still beloved fic snippets. ^^

That sounds perfect to me. Sometimes you just need a day to sit back and reflect to counter the more intense fic-writing days, and let everything just soak and settle.
