sylvanwitch here: 517 more words on the ghost story. I’ve taken to using a break at work to get words down, and that’s been a nice change of routine for me. It’s probably not a permanent thing, but as I’ve been struggling with energy and motivation when I get home, this has been a good stopgap measure for now.

March 15th - In a very surprising and unexpected coincidence, 881 words, same as yesterday, although this time it was a single challenge fic. I love weird coincidences. It brings my total words for this year so far to 60006 *grins*

Thank you! I only expected to write a double drabble for the challenge, but the characters had other ideas and the eventual word count was a total surprise.

I've been so bad at checking in!

14th: a collection of things, including rewriting the first chapter of my auction fic, yay! (This mostly involved cutting a para and tweaking everything else. The cut was probably the biggest improvement.)
15th: small DW post. A little c&p on the auction fic. Almost nothing. I'm not even 100% sure it all adds up to an alibi sentence, but on balance, I'm saying yes.
16th: wrote and posted my weekly dreamwidth post in a single day for the first time in weeeeks! Am about to make edits to the WIP chapters I'll be posting tomorrow.

ysilme -- that's pretty much where I'm at, too. *hugs*

Mar 15: Only bits and snags of time today, but sentences occurred that I'm in the mood to keep.

ysilme: hooray, words!

sylvanwitch: I write during breaks at work, too, because the evening has more distractions and less energy, and there's a lot less oppty to salvage it later in the day if something goes wrong with the plan.

Sentences occurred may be the second motto of this group after "words happened," so I say, "Huzzah!" :-)

I'm finding that having the pressure of one less "have to do" when I get home from work seems to help lately. I only have two things I "have to do"--exercise and write--but sometimes they feel impossible, though I do eventually get around to them, with the predictable result that when I do sit down to write in that mood, it's just harder and the work is usually less spontaneous because it's yanked out of me like rotten teeth.

today was a waste but I did get the script formatted (two hours of my life) and I did get 480 words on Digging Up Bones

Days 12-15 have been tackling terrible coding projects, with successes, trying to make progress on outstanding elements, and trying to keep up with the weekly posting, which might be stressing me too much to try and keep up with doubles of chapters every week. (They seem short, they might not be.)

Ugh, well, I'm sorry to hear it's stressful though glad you find you're making progress. I hope that you're through it soon and that the words cooperate. :-)

That sounds like a good idea about your change of routine, and a good way to get some writing down. Yay for the word count, and of finding a way to deal with your energy and motivation struggles! *hugs* I'm frequently having the same problems, and am seeking to create a permanent space during my day for writing. I sometimes manage, but just recently it's all gone ouf of the window again, which also has to do with my abysmal sleeping schedule. Your change is giving me a strong motivation to try again, and harder! ♥
