ysilme here: it actually worked; I added 365 words to my WIP, and to the main storyline. Not a large word count; forcing myself back into the main storytelling is the major achievement of the day.

sylvanwitch here: 276 words and a lot of editing of earlier parts of the "Magic School" story. Not quite done but done with what I wanted to get through today.

6th: one long meta comment, one mod post, and a tiny amount of fic work (including canon review).
7th: a little bit of fic work on three different fics: tiny pre-posting edits on one; typing up some notes on another (I have a bit more canon review to do on that one); and I've started looking at the first chapter of the auction fic, which I'm going to try to tidy up (for the umpteenth billion time) today as well.

At least a couple hundred words for the day, but I haven't been keeping track.

Yay for words happening! *\O/* You don't need to keep track of the count, it's completely up to you to report a specific word count. Most of us do it as a kind of validation, I believe, as many or most of us are using word count as a measuring unit for our writing. Personally I'm also counting time when I'm doing editing or research, as the validation of that helps me keeping motivated, and am sometimes also not counting written words because I can't be bothered; but for WED I'm only reporting written words I actually counted, without any specific reason.

Words are words, and you're making them, and that is AWESOME! I echo what ysilme says here--you don't need to provide us with specific word counts unless that helps you with the process. :-)

Day 6: 5 whole words! They were the hardest ones yet, as I've reached the end of what I planned to write going into this month. Now I need another idea!

On the plus (-ish?) side, I now have a fic assignment that I can work on if I'm stuck on this project when I sit down to write tomorrow. And my assignment has definite possibilities!

Day 6: 340 words on WIP 2, along with some restructuring and moving scenes around. Not sure I'm satisfied with the structure yet tbh.

As for me, I wrote my 500 words, total wordcount 25,300. Over 25K, always nice to get past those milestones...

Day 6: 550 words, which finished the first draft of the ghost fic at 16,500 words total! It is a bit messy, and the ending in particular will need some more work, but I'm pleased with it for a first draft. :)
