ysilme here: 1,3k for two blog entries. I've also got a big chunk of nonfic editing going on with about an hour of that happening today.

sylvanwitch here: I imported a chunk of dialogue and a partial scene from the narrative outline today and spent a lot of time cutting, moving things around, rewriting, and adding. I don’t know what today’s word count is, but the draft increased by more than 1200 words with today’s work.

March 5th - 622 words, a double and a quadruple drabble, plus some editing on a couple of fics. I think one is done, but I only got halfway through the other. Got stuck on one bit where I couldn't get the phrasing right so I'll have another try at a later date.

That’s excellent progress, as always. I hope tomorrow brings the right flow of words for the spot that’s got you stuck. I think it’s great that you know when to let something simmer because sometimes I will keep throwing myself at the words only to succeed in increasing my frustration more with each failed attempt.

I find these totally legitimate to count - I've had long stretches myself when I counted something similar, albeit with a guilty conscience at first as it wasn't fic - but then found that at least this has kept me in the habit and helped me to get back on the creative track. I really hope it might work the same way for you, and perhaps also feeling less bad about writing. *hugs*

Checking in for day 5. I haven't done a lot this weekend and I feel like I've been frustrated with myself lately for working so slowly, but at least I'm writing faster than I was for awhile when I wasn't writing at all? I did have a good weekend otherwise.

ETA: whoops, I hadn't looked at all the comments before, and realized everyone was putting the day on it, sorry for not doing it before.

You don't need to put in the day/date if you're reporting your tally for the respective day - as in, your tally for day 5 on the 5th. Just when you're reporting your tally for different days than the entry is for the date/day is necessary, particularly since terms like "yesterday" and "two days ago" are diffiult to deal with over the time-zone-span we're having here at WED. Somebody from the U.S. used to check in for "today & yesterday", posting it e.g. on the 4th in their timezone and meaning the 3rd and 4th, but not realising that the entry is displayed for me with the date and time according to my time zone, so in this case on the 5th. So for me it would've been the 4th and 5th. I don't know if they expected I do the calculations myself but apart from not exactly knowing in what timezone that person was it's really a bit much to ask of the tally keeper when it's so easy to avoid misunderstandings.
The reason why people are naming the day even if they're reporting on the entry of this day are various; I'm doing it myself for my own accountability as I not always manage to check in daily, and when getting a comment notification from the hoster of the month replying to my tally report I know for what day it was. ^^

Last day of the convention, so more notes for a con report! Also used the same notebook to informally interview Kandy Fong about vidding, for a project I'm working on (*very* beginning stages).

Wrote more than I expected to on the fic that ate my brain--there is no actual brain-eating in the fic, I hasten to add--and left a comment on a fic on AO3.
