ysilme here: between a massive headache from lack of sleep and exhaustion and a large family-get together for my eldest niece's and my sister's birthday, I managed to get in whopping 1,4k of new words and am really proud. *g* I took my notebook with me, half- pretending to have something urgent to finish, so got a blessedly quiet hour for myself in their study which worked out really well. I wonder if I should new ways to write and/or create small pockets of me-time in otherwise overwhelming family situations (I love them all dearly, but I'm too much of an Aspie to find it easy to bear for so many hours, and usually end up totally exhausted from just a few hours of seeing them all) in the future.

sylvanwitch here: We had a long day of errands, and it seems I'm also coming down with something (likely a cold), so by the time we got home and got the groceries put away and dinner sorted, I was pretty grainy-eyed and exhausted. Thankfully, this morning, I spent about a half-hour before we left working on the fall festival spooky story I've been playing with for a couple of weeks now. I edited it through, taking out far more words than I added in, and then got to the same spot where I'd left off and realized that I still don't know where I want it to end. That's okay, though. There's nothing urgent about it, and I feel like I accomplished something, at any rate. So that's my writing for the day.

ysilme here: About 250 words of meta for me so far today, although I hope to get some original writing in. My original oneshot for the Christmas story project was due today, but I don't even have a draft yet, as all the things going on lately kind of ate up my ideas and left me with empty shells. When I told that to the main editor, they gave me a couple more days to try and come up with something, and now I hope even more this will happen. Some serious RL stuff affecting me more than I expected has loosened up somewhat today, so I still have some hope left for the new idea I also had today. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

sylvanwitch here: I had an all-day work-related obligation and was completely spent by the time I got home, and I still had grading to do. That said, I did finally come up with an ending for my spooky fall story, though I must have erased far more than I finally kept, which amounts to only a sentence. I think it's okay (?). I'll have to let it percolate for a bit and go back to it to see. Anyway, that's it for me. ETA: I've had this ridiculous idea for an S1 SGA story kicking around in my head today, so I just took notes down on that as well. I absolutely am NOT going to write it (she said, convincing no one).
