ysilme here: alibi sentence only; it's been a productive but exhausting day. Due to the weird weather - either too cold or too wet so far - we could only resume painting the house facade last weekend, and now sun-avoiding, shadow-seeking me has to spend several hours outside in the sweltering heat painting. *melts* At least I get my daily excercise out of this, too. XD And I get a lot of time to think about plots and characters, which doubtlessly will turn out to be useful eventually.

sylvanwitch here: I worked again on the prompts word exercise, adding a third installment to the most recent of the snippets. I just wasn't in the right headspace to come at the flash fic again. Easing off seemed to help, though, because I came up with a sort of ninety-degree turn of the whole story that I think might make it work better. We'll see!

ysilme here: alibi sentence only so far. Yesterday, I added about 300 words of draft to my WIP, at least. Today's been even hotter and more exhausting. *sigh*

sylvanwitch here: I restarted the flash fic to take it in a different direction and got about halfway through, keeping a lot of the meat of the earlier version but also changing quite a bit. I have no idea how many words I added/subtracted, but I feel good about the progress I've made. Of course, I still need to stick the landing.
