ysilme here: I'm still writing my blog post, adding about 300 words today so far and not yet finished.

sylvanwitch here: 871 words for me tonight after a loooong work day. *sighs* The good news is that I might almost be on top of things for now. I think tomorrow should get me to a point at which I can look at having Wednesday mostly free. Thursday, more grading comes in. Ditto next Thursday. *sighs* Still, the prep work should finally be done tomorrow.

Dec 7th - 1401 words. 5 double drabbles, a triple drabble, and editing on two fics for posting.

Also finished knitting the light blue arm warmers except for the sewing up and started a purple pair.

Excellent word count, especially with all those awesome drabbles! And you are knitting whirlwind (though not actually because I suspect trying to knit in a high wind would be counter-productive). ;-)

I wrote a nice 1.2k oneshot for the fun of it today. :) Plus going through and reminding myself what I'm supposed to be doing with my big bang fic, and starting to hack away at the transition that I've been avoiding for the last while.

For the fun of it is the BEST writing reason of all time! YAY!

Also: YAY! for taking on something you've been avoiding. That's heroic, especially given the year we've all had!

sylvanwitch: Yay, you're pulling ahead of the work! I hope tomorrow goes well, and you'll be able to enjoy a respite on Wednesday. And I must say how impressed I am that you can work all day and then produce another 800-900 words in the evening!


Check-in: Pulled out my long-neglected Consentacles draft and spent most of my writing time staring out the window, working out what I wanted for the rest of the story. Wrote a sentence or two as a down-payment on what's yet to come -- which I'm fine with, sometimes I need to daydream about the story a bit.

*sighs* I didn't get quite as far as I'd hoped today, but I'm within shouting distance. Another couple of hours tomorrow morning, and I think I can take the rest of Wed. off. Yay! :-)

Daydreaming about the story sounds LOVELY. One of the things I miss about the drive to work is the chance to let my brain wander over hill and down dale where my stories are concerned. I find a familiar drive an almost creative meditative experience (unless traffic is miserable, in which case, not so much--lol!). Yay for ideas coming to you through daydreams!

I wrote on the 6th and the 7th, too! I've been starting to work out some of the big questions and gaping holes with my space novel, through writing about them by hand and also taking walks. I've also added some hundreds of words into the manuscript, edging towards a big plot twist and hoping I get it to make sense by the time I get there. :D

It looks like I'll have about two hours more work to do tomorrow, and then I'll be free until the afternoon, when I have a zoom meeting with some students. That should be fun, though, not work. :-)
