sylvanwitch here: I discovered this afternoon that yesterday’s story was 150 words too short for the call, so I read, re-read, edited, fiddled, edited some more, and got it more or less there. Then I formatted it, wrote the email, and submitted it. Yay!

Ugh, I've had a day.

March 13th - 1105 words. My 4 Monday double drabbles (I quite like all of them this week), and I had another run at the fic I was going to post last week. Added a bunch of stuff and posted it.

I’m sorry your day was difficult, and I hope tomorrow is better for you. Your word count is that much more impressive for happening when the day was being recalcitrant. Go, you!

Thank you I got most of the writing done, all of the drabbles, while waiting for a delivery of logs for the fire. Getting up early meant I had plenty of time since it was almost 1pm before they arrived. Then I had to spend over an hour moving the logs by hand in drizzling rain and gales, so by the time I had them all stowed the only thing I had the energy for was writing. I'm still exhausted and my back, legs, and arms hurt. *sigh* It wasn't fun.

That does, indeed, sound like the polar opposite of fun, and I'm sorry you had to go through it, though I hope, at least, it means you'll be cozy now (?). Go, you, for getting those words in before all the painful, wet manual labor!

I'm hopeful. I have a coal delivery scheduled for Friday since I'm running low, wo with luck I'll be okay then for the rest of the winter. I'd really like to not have to buy more fuel for two or three months. Prices have gone up so much.
