Checking in for Days 24, 25 and 26. The weekend (our weekend because of the Bookshop is Sunday/Monday) was weirdly and annoyingly busy. Nibbled to death by ducks is the phrase that comes to mind! Sheesh. So, alibi sentences for those days.

For the 26th, I worked on the local history zine -- I'm really out of practice laying out stuff on actual paper, heh. I used to do this for a living, in a business way. At least this isn't a 350-page document with complicated nested headings, running headers and footers for each section and sub-section, a wonky Table of Contents, and multi-page charts ALL IN FERSCHLUGGIN' MICROSOFT WORD, then exported (wonky ToC and all) into THE TERRIBLE AND EVIAL ADOBE PDF format of 10 years ago (wow, didn't realize it had been that long, good riddance!)!! !!

Er, sorry. Anyway, this is an 8 (maybe 12) page zine. And fun! But I'm rusty. Also, I have to write an intro, which I have started. About 260 words. In bullet points. 8-)

First time I hear that phrase, but it's SO FITTING at times - you have my utmost sympathies that it currently applies to you! *hugs* You sound very productive, though! I'm getting not so fond memories of layouting and getting into printing shape the doctoral thesis of my then-boyfriend (now husband) in chemistry, with countless images and formula graphics in I think the first version of Word which allowed for too little internal memory for the graphics and whatnot... ;op Best of luck with the continued work on the zine!
