ysilme here: Signed up for My Slashy Valentine so there'll be some writing inspiration coming soon; otherwise more poking at my old story folder finds, and having fun with working at them a bit here and there; but no serious writing. RL is rather overwhelming currently with the corona development in my county, and we're having lockdown restrictions again effective tomorrow, although the whole country will likely follow soon.

sylvanwitch here: I got my RL work and errands out of the way early and went for a hike at one of my local state parks today, and when I came home, I got creative in the kitchen, putting together from scratch a vegan version of the Hawaii'an classic "loco moco," which is white rice, a hamburger patty, a fried egg, and brown gravy. Sounds kind of gross, right? My version featured organic white and red quinoa, Gardein meatless crumbles sauteed with thin-sliced onion, scrambled JUST Egg, and Simply Organic Vegetarian Brown Gravy (which is actually vegan despite its name). It was WAY better than I expected it to be, and if it didn't have more calories than I usually consume, I'd make it often. Anyway, maybe it was the long walk or the big early dinner, but I had to pull the words out of me tonight like wrenching teeth out of an angry crocodile, but I did, eventually, end up with 904. Phew!

Dec 11th - 1071 words, a challenge fic and some editing.

Knitting, around 60 rows. Finished one arm warmer and started its twin.

I am continually impressed by your productivity both in words and in knitting. Brava! You rock!

I sat down and admitted I should just write the easy thing for yuletide and then if I want to I can write the more complicated thing as a treat, so I wrote 1.3k in one sitting and am happy with this draft. :) I'll get around to editing it and figuring out a title later, but it has the shape of a story and that's the most important bit.

Oh, good on you for finding a work-around that makes you happy! I know that feeling well when something is pulling you in one direction but another thing is suggesting that maybe you should just stop and do this other thing. Brains. So unnecessarily complicated! :-)

12th: I woke up this morning wondering if my beta had possibly looked at my fic yet and what she thought of... oh, I should probably fix that. *facepalm* So my writing today was another pass on my action scene fic. I added 223 words, rearranged some parts and sent it back to beta. Now I'm making icons. ;-p

I'm going to make like a Scandinavian princess and tell you to let it go--lol! I'm betting that action scene is already great, and you're worrying for nothing. But, I definitely understand the impulse. I hope you find peace with it soon.:-)

Thank you, we'll do our best! *hugs back* Yay for icons and for sending something off to the beta. I can relate rather well to the feeling, though; I always have to sit on my fingers to not send a slightly edited version, or another, or yet another... *g*

[day 11, i got my target 500 words but i have been on a Fools Errand for three days so ive not yet made up my deficit ]

[im abandoning the Errand and hopefully ill be back on target sooner rather than later. my wife started doing dnd write ups this month, shes not writing everyday but shes kicking my ass on wordcount im sure *is proud* ]

Lol! I'm smiling because a long time ago, I gave my husband my old fitness tracker when I upgraded, and then he got a job in which he walks, literally, 35K to 40K per shift, and I was like, "Okay, DON'T tell me your steps count for today!" because we don't need that kind of competition in our marriage. That's what you reminded me of here. I hope you find the motivation you need and that the words come easily and well. :-)

Page and a half of longhand today. I felt inspired like I haven't in a while, so I even wrote before work, which I haven't been doing for a while. It felt good.

After a post-midnight burst I got 1151 words on a christmas story

That's an excellent burst! I'm sure you'll finish it swiftly and well, knowing you.

(JUST Egg is a mung-bean derived, liquid, plant-based egg substitute. It sounds gross but is, in fact, really tasty. The thing I like best about it is that its texture is like that of actual scrambled eggs--not runny or grainy. It's a great source of protein for me, and at only 70 calories per 3 tbs (one "egg"), it fits my eating plan too.)
