ysilme here: I added a few sentences to my drawer Christmas fic yesterday, finished my sign-up info for My Slashy Valentine and was inspired to do some investigation into _very_ old story folders. They contain the kind of fragments, WIPs, or just noted down plotbunnies I couldn't bring myself to throw out and still can't; and one of them might just be worked at again for my own pleasure. A bit like finding a beloved toy in the attic and giving it a day or two outside with fond memories before storing it away safely again. It's just such great fun! *g*

sylvanwitch here: I'm finally on top of my work load (for now). Yay! I got to go for a lovely walk in one of my favorite nearby parks, made a huge, delicious salad for dinner, and added 805 words to the novel.

[had a real lazy day, my wordcount for the 10th is 500, and while im not exactly happy with them they did actually contribute to the stumbling project im supposed to be not neglecting but have been in favour of chasing fleeting muses ]

I think that's an excellent word count, ESPECIALLY for a lazy day, which we all need--and you've had some tiring days of late. I'm glad you had that time to work on what you've been neglecting, but I hope you also find the energy to chase the muses, which sounds lovely.

11th: I just spent five solid hours editing my action story, netting myself 259 new words and (hopefully) a lot of improvements. *sends it to beta and falls over*

(Ooh, a walk in the park! Great idea! I might go and do that now...)

I love imagining you in the sunshine somewhere across the world and down some from me (in my head, that's how the globe works). Somehow, it always makes me feel hopeful to remember that it's spring where you are. :-)

Ha, it's been raining all week, but today is actually living up to your imaginings. Very windy, though. I have the last two hours of my audiobook, so I think I'll take a wander and make the best of it. :-)

Some different yuletide noodling today, as I continue working towards a fic I'll actually write instead of just a couple sentences of vague concept. :)

ysilme: Oo, I enjoy digging through the dark recesses of my WIP folders, too. Fun to see and remember what's there, and every once in a while I'll even pull a story out and work on it properly.

sylvanwitch: Hooray! You're on top! (You're the Coliseum! You're on top! You're the Louvre Museum!) AND a lovely walk, AND a lovely salad, AND 805 words. What an excellent day.


Today was not an excellent day, but I did write a longhand page at break and lunch. I skipped to another part of the story, and in the process, the story came "awake" for me. There's parts of it that I'm actively curious about now, and looking forward to tell.

I got 777 in my Cap-Iron Man Sxchange fic done and should finish it in a day or two... then to finish Yuletide.

Dec 10 - 160 words on the SWG challenge piece that many of these drabbly bits are part of. It seems to be accreting snapshots. This one goes fairly early in the timeline.

Some days (many days, I think, especially this year), that's the most you can honestly ask of yourself or anybody else. I hope the fog lifts for you and you find what you need. :-)

Checking in for Days 9 and 10, accomplishments in continuing to get the posts done for the daily questions set, and in putting words toward keeping the Grief queue up to acceptable levels. Maybe at some point I'll manage to go back to daily checking in.

Day 10: alibi sentence. Right now I just want not to abandon my nano fic, so alibi sentences are even more fine than usual and represent the triumph of write every day over my overwhelmed desire to give up. :D

That IS a triumph, especially when the story is not cooperating and/or RL is making concentration and/or energy output difficult. Keep on keeping on with your alibi sentence bad self! :-)
