ysilme here: I wrote a handful of notes this morning for the drawer Christmas fic this morning and hope to add some more later. But I wrote most of my holiday and Christmas cards, and as Wednesday is niece herding day I spent a few lovely hours with eldest niece (14) folding origami stars while talking about All The Things (TM), and listening to her current text prep.

sylvanwitch here: I've had a headache for most of the day, but it was, thankfully, not so distracting when I had my virtual writers' group meeting this afternoon, during which I added another 461 to the original short story I started last week, and then, just now, though my headache is much worse, I managed 642 words on the novel, which I'm counting a win, so I can escape the screen and hopefully get rid of this headache with some exercise and then a hot shower.

Dec 9th - 1000 words on three short pieces.

Knitting: A mere three rows, but I did sew up the light blue arm warmers. Was almost done when I lost the needle so then I had to search for that.

Today I did some editing and finished my pwp so only 171 words.

Day 9: Really tired tonight but I wanted to get at least an alibi sentence done. Instead I managed 131 words, so I'm pleased.

I hope your headache goes away!

Thank you so much--I eventually defeated it with "Headache Halo" tea and ginger anti-nausea gum, which sometimes works on headaches for me (in addition to doing what it's advertised to do).

Day 9: still moving things about, but this time paused to type up some stuff from the notebook that goes approximately where I am moving things about as well. I can sort of see the shape of things? I suspect next step is to fire up the printer and take a pen to all the bits. Might be a weekend sort of project so perhaps tomorrow I will poke at some other section.

ysilme: that sounds like a wonderful day! Hooray holiday cards, story notes, origami stars, and time with your neice!

sylvanwitch: boo, headache! And on your (partial) day off, too! But look how many words you got! I'm very impressed; headaches make me too stupid to write.


Check-in: I made lots of chicken-scratches all over my last couple of longhand entries, then wrote a few new sentences.

I managed 662 words on the Buffy story + 943 words on the dark fic. I was wrong, it wasn't quite done.

10th: Finished my update post and fiddled a bit with a couple of fic. No actual word count to report, but I wrote.

Fiddling is both frustrating and satisfying, isn't it? On the one hand, it's clearly making the writing better, but on another, it feels almost intangible, like you can't actually prove that you did anything substantive, right? At least, that's how it feels to me sometimes. Yay for fiddling!
