ysilme here: I'm back at my regular WIP but did mostly sorting around of scenes and story info, as well as going through bingo and other challenge prompts to see if I find any that might help me with it. Actually words written: only 65, but I think I've made a big step ahead with them.

sylvanwitch here: It was a long day, with a work obligation in the AM and then lots of errands, and I was really reluctant to sit down to what I'd written last night, but I found a way to use it that didn't squick me out, so I tweaked and edited yesterday's words and added 305 more for tonight.

Would have liked to get more words in, but overall am happy with my progress for March so far. I have two stories I am enjoying and it’s been a bit of a struggle to decide which to focus on!

7th: 461 words of fic. Getting-together/kissing scenes are hard! *goes to do dishes*

800 words, getting the end of a critical scene, woo-hoo! It didn't go how I planned, but I like this better. I know how the next scene starts, too, so that bodes well for tomorrow, fingers crossed. (Although it looks like maybe things will continue to diverge from the scenes I pre-wrote six months ago? Ah well!)

Also did some canon review for the exchange story.


ysilme: Sometimes the right 65 words makes all the difference! I hope they set you up nicely for moving ahead!

sylvanwitch: long day, but good job on making the time and energy to sit down to it, and on finding a path through yesterday's words that works for you!

Wow, excellent progress on your projects, particularly in finding a way through a scene that went a different way than expected. It's nice when the words go in that direction and don't require as much wrestling as expected! :-)

I've gathered up a prompt and did much brainstorming and now have 1 1/2 pages of notes. Now it's a bit of canon review to figure out where all of it will fit in before the real writing will start.

Got back a 1k ficlet from beta and polished it for posting.

For such angular, pointy letters, they can be surprisingly stealthy. You have to keep an eye on them, or they slip into all kinds of kwords.

Days 5 and 6 had some Grief work done on them, finished up a draft of exchange fic, started another, talked with one of my FTH bidders about their idea, cleared out some tabs, and otherwise just kept going at the writing.

Day 6: Still trying to figure out this new project -- it didn't help that I went off on a research tangent (well, maybe a tangent) that produced a lot more than I expected it to! So more notes and ruminating, not much of a word count. But, a little progress!

Sometimes the research rabbit hole can be super rewarding, and sometimes I find it makes me itchy because I feel like I'm being delayed, especially if what the research uncovers takes me in unexpected directions, and I have to recalibrate my plans/outlines. I hope that this turns out to have been ultimately rewarding for you and that you get the words you need/want out of it, too! :-)
