ysilme here: again, only sitting down to write now, just a few words of editing here and there from earlier today so far.

sylvanwitch here: I did it! I did final edits, formatted the story, wrote a cover letter, and submitted it to the thing! I'm trying not to be too hopeful, but I really like this story, and I hope they do too. Guess we'll see!

Day 5: Typed up yesterday's work, grabbed the existing bit that's supposed to come next so I knew where I needed to end, and did the same "try to write til the end of the hour" thing as yesterday. Not nearly as productive as yesterday but I got a page out of it, so yay.

Day 5: added a net of 308 words on my draft as I edit and tweak the last scene to hit upon the right closing lines. Still not quite there yet, but almost!

5 June - 150ish words finishing and editing a piece I pulled out of the wip pile. It works for the current Fan Flashworks challenge now. Sending off to be sanity-checked.

Thank you so much, my friend. Alas, it's already been rejected. But, I sent out a different story to a different magazine in response to the rejection. I figure if I keep doing that, something's gotta stick.

Day five barely left me any time or energy for writing because I had some construction work done on my balcony and it turned out to take longer and be a lot louder than I expected. So all I did was make a list of the main points I need to brainstorm and sort out for the superhero story, and that's what I intend to do on day six, now that my home is once again quiet and there are no strangers walking back and forth through my bedroom. :)

Oh, dear--that kind of thing can be mondo intrusive! I think managing ANY focus is impressive under the circumstances. I hope today was better for you (and quieter, too :-).

Day 5 meant wrangling a new assignment and putting a few words on it. It hasn't decided to tell me what's happening yet, but there are some fragments and points there that, maybe once they are in place, they'll let me know start kind of story I've come up with.
