ysilme here: a bit over 1k for the nostalgia project. (I wrote more but forgot to count the rest. ;op )

sylvanwitch here: 188 super sappy words. I'm not nearly as good with those sorts as I am with angst and action scenes, so I'm pretty happy with managing that many. I'm almost at the epilogue!

Day 12: about 200 words on linguistics space opera, 100 words on short story thing that I'm going to keep plugging away at - I have decided to switch to the short story for a few days so I can kick a rough draft out the door. :)

Aug 12: Stayed up WAY too late reading last night, and braindead today as a result. So a little alibi editing with the simplest of the beta comments I got back today.

Lois McMaster Bujold, Mirror Dance, which is next up in my Vorkosigan reading. A lot of the Vorkosigan novels to date have been romps (she says advisedly, glossing over the various content warnings some of them require), but this one has a super intense start, where things kept getting worse... and worse... and worse... I was desperately looking for a place where I could put it down and have a fighting chance of rolling over and going to sleep, and there just... wasn't. one.

Hee, I know the feeling! Sometimes evening!me and morning!me just have irreconcilably different interests...

They weren't even different interests! I wanted to go to sleep! But the book had me too anxious and wound up! Usually I can find a place where the author has relieved the tension enough that I can shut my eyes and not lie there stressed out about the characters, but... no dice Friday night!

Oh, gee, I can't at all relate to this. *whistles innocently* ;-) YAY for reading something SO engrossing! And YAY for alibi editing!

Day 12 1500 words partly on the fandom gift basket story and the rest finishing that ghost story. Now to get it edited tomorrow because I am out of time

Day 12: Redrafting; I haven't quite got a complete second draft of chapter 20, because I still need to tidy up the new bits, but I have reached the end of the chapter. And so, sylvanwitch, so am I! *almost-at-the-epilogue high five* :D

Kudos to getting the sappy words down and being happy with them! I can relate, it's so much easier to write angst! XD

I ended up with 1,5k for the nostalgia project, and also several ideas for the prompts I claimed for Scribbles & Drabbles, although I didn't write any of those down.
