ysilme here for day 6: 2,7k for a blog entry.
sylvanwitch here: On Day 6, I cut all of the words I'd added to the story yesterday (and saved them to a separate file--you never know when they might come in handy) and wrote 247 new words in an entirely different direction. I think I like this kinder, gentler version of the story better, but we'll see how I feel about these words tomorrow. ;-)

Date: 2024-07-08 03:58 am (UTC)At least a few sentences for days 3 and 4, 300+ words for day 5, 100+ words for days 6 and 7.

Date: 2024-07-08 04:29 am (UTC)Jul 7: A lot of brainstorming and research for our Pod-Together project -- workskins, multi-voice recording, directions to take the story, etc. Plus an alibi sentence, because even though I know all that counts, I never feel quite easy until I've written a sentence, too.

Date: 2024-07-08 02:32 pm (UTC)I am like you, re: alibi sentences. No matter how much writing-related work I do, I feel like I must have at least one fiction-centric sentence for it to count. Brains are weird.
YAY for doing all that work!

Date: 2024-07-08 09:57 am (UTC)July 7th - 610 words. A double drabble, and edits on 4 fics. Yes, I cave in to my weird brain and did more editing late last night. Now I just need to convince my brain that 400 words in a day is totally okay...

Date: 2024-07-08 02:34 pm (UTC)400 words a day is MORE THAN totally okay! But I can relate to your feeling otherwise because 500 per day is my personal quota, and even though I've both finished a novel AND already crossed my annual total word count goal, my brain is still insisting that anything less than that is unacceptable. ;-)
Brains are weird.
GO YOU for all that writing and editing! YAY!

Date: 2024-07-08 06:45 pm (UTC)Ditto (aside from the novel writing - so impressed with your novel writing). I passed my GYWO goal last month, so everything I write is a bonus, but my brain still wants me to get past 500 words a day. =/
