ysilme here: some noodling around over my various current projects; I couldn't really decide what to focus on. A couple hundred words or so?

sylvanwitch here: I am deep in prep work territory, trying to be ready for the new school year, but before I got stuck into it today, I wrote a travel journal entry about my time at the Soldiers & Sailors Museum in Pittsburgh yesterday.

17th: drafted 1000 words of writing meta re: what are the middles of stories for?
18th: spent the morning writing a political submission (grrrrrrrr!), and then tidied up and posted the meta.

Plan for tomorrow: get back to my surprise!kink fic. ;-p

ysilme: I know that feeling when nothing quite raises a hand and says "PICK ME!" but I still find that noodling over multiple projects to be worth my time: checking in, asking how they're doing, is there anything I can do for them...

Aug 17. Lots of podficcing! Editing audio, reviewing my partner's audio, planning discussions about how to make the whole project more cohesive...

Also, had a beta conversation about a fic I finished the other week. My beta really liked it, so I sent it off to my excellent copyeditor for the next stage of the process.

Day 17: About 350 words, supposedly on yesterday's draft, but which I will probably use for something else later. Oh well!

Oh, well, indeed! One of the aspects of writing that will never not be awesome to me is that no words are wasted words, even when I'm writing nonsense. It all builds the writer's brain. YAY!

Days 14, 15 and 16 were just research and a couple of alibi sentences, but 17th involved writing the one (1) paragraph that pulled everything together so now I’ve got a finished art blog post that’s like 1000 words long. Sucess!

Aug 18th - 970 words. An expanded ficathon fill, a double drabble for a challenge, and the start of a ficlet for another challenge. I like what I've got so far, and I've managed to incorporate all three of my prompts, so YAY!

YAY, indeed! That's FIRE! (I don't know if that's even still a phrase we use? I can't keep up with the cool kids anymore.) Go, you! Woooo-hooooo!

I wouldn't know either, I'm 63, I don't understand kids these days - not sure I ever did! Thanks though =D

I'm 54. The only reason I stand a chance is because I teach 16-18yo boys. They sometimes give me insight (when they aren't laughing at how out of touch I am, that is).

Thank you, hon! The prep work gave me sore sitting bones (as my video yoga instructor calls them) and swollen feet, so today, I'm making it a point to get up every hour or so and get some exercise. We'll see if I remember to stick to my plan!
