ysilme here: 48 words so far for day 10. My usual writing time was occupied otherwise, but I hope to get a bit of writing done after posting this.
Edit: 168 words overall for the NP.

sylvanwitch here: On Day 10, I finished a much tighter draft of the story I've been working on. It's 966 words, but all of them feel like they are supposed to be there, and I think I fixed the problem with the lack of tension in the central conflict. I'll let it sit for a bit and come back to it fresh in a week or so. In the meantime, I think I'll draw another card and see what happens!

Jul 7: Some brainstorming with my partner-in-crime, plus a few let's-see-how-it-goes sentences. (The sentences are eh, but tomorrow's writing will be better for them.)

I did! Didn't end up with many words but at least proper fic was written. I'm currently having the same problem I know only too well from exchange deadlines: first, a writing hangover, and then difficulties to focus on something specific since nothing is pressing and my mind hasn't hooked on something again yet. Once again WED is helping me over a stretch with low writing impulse... ^^

Yay for writing-preparation work happening for you! :o) I like the phrase "let's-see-how-it-goes".

Day 9 and 10: Good progress on the RPE fic! I've submitted a bus pass version now, but have an extra scene and a bit I'd like to finish and add on, so working on those now :D

It was reaffirming, for sure, because I have felt so dodgy about my own ability to plot things anymore. I've had a serious hang-up about not being able to "stick the landing" (i.e. the ending) of a story, so I'm using these folklore-card-inspired exercises to try to get past that and regain some confidence in myself. Honestly, I spend a lot of time feeling like a complete writing failure, so it was nice to go through the story and see that yes, these changes made it better.

Ysilme: Sorry your writing time was taken up with other things, but I'm glad proper fic was written. As you said to sanguinity, WED is good for helping you over a writing slump, because it's low-pressure; all you have to do is write a sentence, which leads to tinkering, which leads to fic. \o/
