YAY for alibi sentences being used for one of their primary purposes! :-)

Jul 13: Been feeling frustrated about my writing, so had a session with pen and notebook, which often forces me to focus more on 'getting sentences down' and less on 'how those sentences could be improved' (which can sometimes become a death spiral of self-criticality). Ended up writing what's probably several hundred words. Feeling fairly positive about them right now; we'll see if that holds when it's time to transcribe them.

Well, I've since finished two vignettes (one of which is the problem vignette I've been struggling with all week!), so at least for the moment, yes!

YAY! I'm so glad you feel better about your words, and I hope that feeling continues as you transcribe them today. I can relate to the self-criticality; it's miserable, and I'm so glad you have a way to defeat it!

I have, alas, finally caught COVID, and while I'm not feeling too poorly, it's been hard to focus! I'll probably try to take it easy until I'm more recovered.
