A few paragraphs of notes on the world building I need to work on in my pilot. I've let it rest for a little bit while I kept my hand in by working on fic but hoping I can convince myself to go back to it this week. *crosses fingers*

Writing a difficult scene that I wonder whether it feels contrived, since it's a scene with characters remembering something that happened in the past, and thus repeating things they both know, sort of for the reader's benefit. Maybe it should be a full flashback instead...

Ah, that is a conundrum--you don't want to be all, "As you know, Mitch," but on the other hand, the reader probably needs the reminder. If this were episodic television, you could just shove a recap in after the commercial break. ;-). Good luck figuring out how best to get the information across! Also, YAY for words!
