ysilme here: I'm back at writing, sitting at the second draft of my WIP, currently fighting the opening scene. I've got three sentences so far which I've rewritten perhaps ten times, but it's slowly getting there. IDK - over the last year or so, actually getting the start of any given story right has become a major issue for me.

sylvanwitch here: I chose a random word generator, which gave me eight words, and I wrote two exercise snippets using one each of those words. I wanted to let the flash fic percolate for a full day, and today was busy, as well, so I didn't want to try to force the ending. Maybe tomorrow? Who knows. :-)

Day 12: A chattering of meta, as I reply to what people said about what all I posted up yesterday. xD also some fic words! I am allowing myself to begin actually editing my fandom5k fic again! This will likely start taking over my brain again. That's okay. :)

Day 12: More moving of bits and going over notes and trying to finish this conversation. I know what the antagonist wants to get out of this conversation but he wants to get information without revealing how much he wants the information and this protagonist is prone to conversational tangents and... Wrote two pages, scratched out about half of it? Whee.

- edited chapter 19 of the poly fic
- started on a reread of the second book of canon, in preparation for writing something set in that time
- recorded some brainstorming for a friend with whom I will be doing pod_together.

13th: 582 words on the exchange treat, 486 words on the WIP (many of which are notes and structure and headings and I THINK I HAVE AN OUTLINE NOW?? *fingers crossed*), and then an hour of panic and trying to restore a corrupted version of my file and downloading (but not paying for) expensive recovery apps before luzula kindly pointed out that cloud backups do versioning. *collapses and crawls off to watch kdramas*

Day 12 got me closer to the end of the assignment with a deadline and some more words as I shuffled some tabs around and cleared a few out. I can start getting rid of the clutter by not opening new tabs and leaving them to just sit there. Plus, I'm getting to read some stories, too.
