ysilme here: A few more words on the drawer fic and a long email. The rest of my time and energy was eaten up by cleaning windows and some yard work.

sylvanwitch here: I was going to work on the ghost story today, but I received another rejection, this time for a story that is very personal to me. So, I researched another magazine, wrote a new cover letter, changed the ending of the story a bit (because it had never quite felt right, and now it does) and submitted it to a new venue. Onward!

The weekend has been a writing write-off due to some intense modding. But at least I've kept checking in with my WIP. I'm still hopeful that I can reach escape velocity somehow, when I have a moment. <3 <3 <3

Day 26: a little under a page longhand, Phillip is now going to march Perrin over to the library to talk to Lara and since Lara hates explaining herself in straightforward ways (to be fair her backstory gives her lots of reasons for this) she has told me "not tonight" and gone to hide, so any further productivity I might have tonight will come from typing up what I've written out the last several days.

Mar 26: Solicited prompts for my birthday on tumblr, then spent all day writing. 900 words total, which is almost the first prompt finished, but then we went out for a fabulous birthday dinner, during which I got too tipsy to write afterwards. :-D

And I hope your laptop can still hum along a (good) while longer. What you said about the rejection letters makes sense, even if the cause and effect might not be strictly logical; I hope your rejection letters lead to success!

Day 26: A bit of researching (aka "reading") and then had effing *computer problems* so didn't get much writing done. A bit more than an alibi sentence, but not much! Grrr.

Ugh, I feel you on the computer problems--hard same! Good for you for prevailing and good luck with the computer stuff. I hope it gets better! (Mine is limping along today, which is a nice change from refusing to work at all...)

March 26th - 677 words. 5 Doctor Who drabbles and some work on the first chapter of a very old fic. There are 4 chapters and an epilogue, and the general idea is just fine but the Torchwood characters don't sound like themselves and the writing is clunky. I can do better.

Went to bed early last night because of the clocks going forward.

Also, good luck with revising the old fic. I admire you taking the plunge; I fear the cringiness of my own old work and will often refuse to even entertain revisiting it.

I hope your sleep schedule evens out; the time change always messes me up (and did this year, as well--ours went ahead on the 13th).

Thanks! It's going to take forever to sort it out, and I have a lot of other fics I want to work on, expanding them and improving them, but at least I've made a start.

I don't mind the clocks going back in autumn as much, I get an extra hour in bed, but losing an hour in spring just seems so cruel.
