Day 14 brougth me a bit over 1k; 375 words on a meta post and 657 words on the now penultimate chapter of the WIP, rounding it up and being just shy of sending it to the beta - there's one phrase I'm unhappy with and will go over again once today. Also caught a plotbunny for a bingo fill while watering my vegetables, and worked part of that out until I was done.

sylvanwitch here: 567 words on "The Factory," most of the denouement, just need the resolution, which I hope to get to tomorrow. (I know, I know, I said the same thing yesterday, but it turns out there was more to be resolved than I'd initially expected. Also, I think this story will need significant cutting in the editing process, so I'm letting myself have all the words for now. ;-)

15th: no words in the actual file, but three notebook pages of notes, and I've started to re-examine my outline. Possibly I should be pressing on to the end of the draft, but I would like to figure out how to fit it all together better, in the hopes of less rewriting later.

Your writing for the day and your plans sound very sensible to me. I firmly believe that sometimes we need to step back or take a short break from a fic, to get a different or better perspective of things. Afterwards, it'll mostly go much easier, or simply just falls into place. Good luck! ♥

Thank you, my friend. I got there today, though I'm not sure it'll stand. This has been such a sprawling process that I don't think the story hangs together, and as it's at almost 12K, it'll need some paring down anyway, unless I decide it's going to be a novelette/novella. One thing at a time. For now, it needs to be set down to "season" for a while before I go at it with the editing pen, so to speak.
