ysilme here: 567 words for me today, about 300 for the nostalgia project. My writing time was cut short first by a visit to the vet (furry boy #1 needs to lose a few teeth and got blood drawn) and later by afternoon tea at my parents' for my father's 77th birthday, which was terribly nice.

sylvanwitch here: I have a short story I wrote during the Bret Kavanaugh hearings that I always think of as my silent scream. I've been trying to find a home for it ever since, sometimes coming close but never landing a contract on it. Today, I sent that story out into the world again with a new and improved cover letter and a hope in my heart. Someday, someone besides me will love this story the way it's meant to be loved. So, that was today's words.

21 August -- research for the pinch hit, and some notes. Another couple chapters coded for posting TRSB art.

Discovered that SFWA (Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America) is now allowing poets (and translators) to join. As a result, I am more seriously considering actually submitting poetry to Uncanny and some other places.
