ysilme here: sorry for the multiple edits; I hit post instead of preview when I wasn't finished with the code. For my own tally, about 360 words for the drawer Christmas fic which is just fun to write.

sylvanwitch here: Another busy day, but things are getting accomplished, and, perhaps more importantly, I'm letting some things go until tomorrow, when there will also be time to do them. Today, I added 954 to the novel and am moving into an emotionally difficult section of the book--necessary but harder to write than I'd expected, not in terms of getting the words to come but just in following this plot point to its necessary conclusion.

Oh, dear! Just...remember that spoons that go up must necessarily come down! (Make sure it's not on your head...metaphorically or literally! :-) Good on you for getting all of those words in, though, especially when in the midst of so many other things pulling on your attention and time.

More edits on the big bang fic! Also some writing on the unexpected shipfic. :) I'm enjoying how it's progressing.

YAY! It always makes me happy to hear someone use the word "enjoying" in relation to writing. I know sometimes it has to be difficult, but I feel strongly that it should also often be fun, you know?

Once again I've missed about a million check-ins! But I did write every day, if not as much as I'd have liked to every day. Right now I'm fighting with my Yuletide fic.

Dec 15th - 1375 words, on two challenge ficlets.

Knitting - 30 rows, then half an hour of untangling my yarn.

Oh, no, re: untangling! That sounds like no fun at all...unless, perchance, it was caused by a surprise basketful of kittens? That would seem to be the only acceptable explanation. *nods decisively*

YAY for so many wonderful words, though, and for rows despite the unruly state of the yarn!

Sadly no kittens, although it's probably a good thing as they'd freeze here. I just wasn't sure there was enough yarn for two warmers of the length I'd knitted the first, so I pulled out the inside of the ball, which is what I usually do and had already done once with this ball. Suffice to say, all I got was a massive tangle and I couldn't find the end =/

Words went better than I expected yesterday.

16th: Second lot of beta changes to the action scene fic. I just need to find a title (argh!) and maybe fix one more thing and I'm done.

Okay for today, the 15th - I finished my Yuletide with 1287 more words and did na recap writeup for my B5 fandom at 243 words. Tomorrow I hope to finish my Cap-IM exchange fic and get all the things posted. Go me!

sylvanwitch: Nicely done on getting words and other things accomplished, and best of luck on the next section of the book. I trust it will all come together as it needs to, even if it does give you difficulty along the way.

Dec 15 - 132 words on the same segment of the current SWG callenge piece I was working on yesterday.

I am finding it useful to just keep on working at words, for whatever piece might be speaking at the moment. Its definitely a sanity-thing, but it gets pieces done too :-) Eventually at any rate. There are a number of them that I do want to finish, and some that I like poking at that may never be posted, but that's ok too.

Your attitude is excellent, re: letting things be what they are. As someone who also needs daily writing for sanity, I appreciate and admire your approach to it. Go, you! Keep up the great and necessary work!

Checking in for Days 14 and 15, accomplishments in last pass and then post for exchange assignments, so those are in on time, adding some more to the Grief queue, and continuing to write every day for the talking exercise, even if what I'm writing now might be posted later on in the month, so that way I can keep posting even if most of the day is taken up by some other pursuit.
