ysilme here: Alibi sentence and some nonfic for day 20; my writing time was used up by other things so far today, but I hope to sit down for a bit of writing after I'm back from my nighttime walk.

sylvanwitch here: Day 20 turned out to be way busier than I’d expected—productive, but busy—so I did not finish the short story, but I did add 137 more words to it.

Jul 20: COMPLETE DRAFT, BABY! *does the complete draft dance* 600 words, which my co-conspirator approved of (she said she got choked up, hooray!), and then I went back and started editing. omg, bastard past me left so many [[...]]'s in this draft, and now it's MY job to name all these thirty million people and work out their respective ages in what year. To that end, I also did a chunk of arithmetic -- I have a century-plus-long timeline, and which character I'm measuring time by keeps changing, and of COURSE it's not a steady sensible hand-off from one character to the goddamned next. SPREADSHEET, with a different character in every column, and cross-referencing between them.

I wrote on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th. I finished the chapter I was working on tonight. The character I'm desperately trying not to give a redemption arc to still isn't getting one, but her girlfriend thinks she's reformed because their other friends are boxing her in so that she has no other choice but to do the things she would do if she was actually becoming a better person. Eventually, though, the veil is going to drop, and then all hell is going to break loose. I can't wait!

Not that one - we had soem youngsters blaring horribly loud and bassy music up on the castle's parking area which made me unable to even hear my audiobook, let alone think - and at 1am at that. /o\ I don't mind people having fun at all, but not when they're forcing their music and entertainment choices on everybody within at least half a mile!

sylvanwitch does her comments, and in the evenings only check the newer check-ins, and not always also manage to read her comments at that time!

lol the problem with having a monthly wordcount goal is that one loses a certain amount of momentum when one has already reached it.

I ended up with 23 more words for the NP, but was too tired for more. But the quote did motivate me to decide what story to tackle next. I haven't decided, but spent the mornign so far with making notes to various option, so that's a win, I believe.
