I'm sorry I'm posting so early today, but we're about to leave for trailer driving lessons with my father, so we'll hopefully finally be able to go on a trip with our small caravan. ;op Yesterday was spent with having the (propane) gas check done for it and starting to clean it (accumulated dust and spiders from standing around for two years), so also not much writing happened for me; 52 alibi words on the WIP which I'm not keeping again. But like the day before yesterday they're useful to get me to those I want.

sylvanwitch here: Day one of our mountain vacation has been lovely so far--frogs, birds, squirrels, and a blue sky over the green hills. I just finished my first full draft of the flashfic, cutting out a whole bit but tightening up the tension and finding my ending as well. Yay! Off for a long wander in the woods.

Sorry for failing at checking in again! I've written a little every day, though the last week has been just alibi sentences, since I haven't been feeling great (again). For today (the 23rd) I have about 400 words on my everywoman fic.

Trailer driving lessons sound exciting, I hope they go well!

Only 200 words, but I also did research as well as had an hour-long beta-reading chat. Total wordcount 58,000.

Checking in for three days at once. 219 words for day 21, filling a prompt at senmut's July Jewels prompt thingie. Not sure how mnay words for day 22, but finished a fic for the Wisteria Auction for alexseanchai. :) And a few sentences, so far, for day 23.

I'm sorry to hear you've been/are under the weather, so it's even more awesome that words were happening for you, no matter how little! This has been so hard for you for so long; hearing you wrote brightens my day every time.
Thank you, yes, they went very well! It's been the first time for me, including driving Siljan's car; he has an electric hand brake and all those bells and whistles that can create a lot of exitement, so for this time I just kept to the parking lot where we went, drove around in circles and eights, and backed up straight as well as at 90° into a marked spot.

Thank you, they did! I can now drive straight ahead, in circles, and back up with a trailer. *g* Driving on the street is yet to follow, but with all the inclines and narrow streets in our town I didn't want to do it on the first lesson.

I second that with wholeheartedly! It's so important to also relax and unwind, and you're indeed most deserving of this right now with all that adulting behind and before you. ***hugs*** I don't know if this might help you as well, but I got very helpful counsel with a smiliar issue - for me it's not so much the part of being productive, but the part of being a "successful adult" in regards to all kinds of adulting I'm struggling with on low spoon days/periods. Learning over time to not call those days/periods unproductive, or having failed at X or Y, but as maintenance/recharging days has helped me a lot. The mental image of a machine or apparatus standing still to be maintenanced to remain functional, or of something being recharged to get the energy back, actually helps me feeling better, and really do what I need at such times: relax, unwind, cutting myself some slack.

Thank you again, my friend, for your kindness and understanding. I sometimes talk about my apple barrel being empty and needing to replenish it, but as much as I recognize that truth intellectually, I'm not so good at feeling it emotionally, if that makes sense. A lot of my earliest behavior patterns were driven by guilt (thank the RC church and my parents for that ;-), and I still struggle with uncoupling guilt from necessary recharging. So, I appreciate the thoughtful and kind reminder! *hugs*

hahahaha that's okay. It's a long hurt comfort story in a series of them but yeah it's not as dark as some serial killer stuff but it is definitely in the police procedural/mystery realm
