ysilme here: I've been mainly editing today, and talking in a several-hour-long-chat with my closest writing buddy about writing stuff. There were lots of words, though no new fiction ones, but as I'm totally knackered that has to suffice for today. ;oP

sylvanwitch here: A full day of faculty meetings took most of my brain and turned it to sludge. Thankfully, I had many notes on part IV of the MPI story, which I'd written by hand during exam proctoring last week, so I typed those up, fleshed them out, added quite a bit more, and finished the whole draft at 1284 words! Yay!

22nd: 940 words on a flashfic. I have a complete draft now, but I might need to let it sit for a day or two. I don't think the ending quite works. Also, I got my PWP back from beta, and plan to work on that tomorrow. :-)

1600 words tonight! I've had a scene rolling around in my head all week, and it finally coalesced today. I wrote half of it on my lunch break and couldn't wait to get home from work and get the rest out.

Tired today but writing happened 620 words on a surprise Buffyverse comment fic + 312 words on Come Undone

Spent my longhand-on-the-bus time this morning making plot/timeline notes about my proposed story for the exchange assignment.

Yay for notes that will make the writing flow! Yay! (I speak as someone whose story notes saved her butt yesterday, when by the time I sat down to write, my brain was sending SOS signals to the rest of me. ;-)

Yay for story notes! Sometimes it's very helpful to work out in advance who knew what when, what they did, and why they did it. :-)

Day 21: went back to the WIP without a deadline in the hopes of finishing it up and getting it off my plate, and managed to get 2,688 words written. Just one scene and some editing left to go!

I continued zero-drafting the short story. I got started rather late and therefore didn't write much, but at least it was something. :-)

Day 22 - a page of words, including notes about the possibility that I'm trying for a happy ending when that is contraindicated by the facts. /o\

Congrats to the page of words, though, that's quite something! And good luck with figuring out which way the ending is going. Personally, I'm always in favour of a happy or at least hopeful one, no matter how unlikely it seems...

Half a sentence includes words of some sort, so it absolutely counts!

As for the second, I can relate. Sometimes, I begin a story expecting it to end badly and happily discovering that the characters have other ideas. Sometimes, the opposite occurs, and that is always difficult. I offer you sympathy and energy for the moving ahead. :-)

And wrote a snowflake entry where I displayed productive laziness by pointing out what had already been done.
