ysilme here: We had a lovely time at a quarry pond, swimming and having a picnic brunch until it got too hot, and then slept the afternoon away. The driving lesson yesterday went well, by the way! I even managed to successfully back up in two directions.
Day 23: 801 words for a blog entry, and a couple of sentences for the WIP although I forgot to count these. Day 24: so far, three small notebook pages in longhad, working at the draft of the latest bingo bunny.

sylvanwitch: We're having a lazy start to our day and have a lazy afternoon of shop-browsing and rambling in the nearby tourist town. Today's writing consisted of another editing pass on the flashfic horror story before giving it to T., my forever alpha reader, for comments. :-)

Yay for those sentences happening! *\O/* But just to be sure, it's no requirement whatsoever for WED that you're posting your tally on the day you wrote it, or keep to any given/standard schedules for "today" and "tomorrow" or so. I'm personally always counting the time between going to bed and getting up, as my sleeping patterin is all over the place; otherwise I might write nothing one day, word count wise, and doubly or triply that on another. ^^

Jul 24: I have finished transcribing last week's words AND written a transition from the new material back to the old. So now I'll be able to return to editing chapter 9 AT LAST. Update: I finished the editing pass of chapter nine. (I'll probably make a fresh go at it tomorrow, though, before I send it off to beta.)

That all sounds delightfully lazy! :o) Go you for making editing happen! It's awesome, too, that you have T. as your alpha reader. This is something I'm really missing myself; Siljan sometimes does read what I'm writing, but he's not a good alpha reader and mostly also doesn't want to read what I wrote.

It has been wonderful so far, and I'm already starting to get a little sad thinking about returning to the usual chaos, but I'm trying not to pre-doom myself, so to speak. ;-)

It took me a few years before I trusted T. enough to read my work, not because he's a harsh critic but because he tends to alpha read by offering, "Well, you could do THIS or THIS," as plot options, and typically, what I'm looking for is general comments on the flow, on things that don't make sense, etc. I'm not necessarily looking for anything to add or whatnot. But we've worked it out over the years now that he knows what I'm looking for (genuine constructive criticism being fine but "hey, why not add aliens!" not-so-fine *grins*), and he has been a great help lately, especially as I'm feeling so uncertain about my ability to end a story.
