27: We're having that unprecedented heat wave that so much of the North American West is having, so I'm feeling not my sharpest. But I did get maybe a hundred words down? And now I'm going to go have a nap.
That's EXCELLENT progress, considering conditions there! I hope you're able to stay as cool as possible and take it as easy as you can. (I know that's not always possible, given circumstances, but if you CAN take it easy, please do.)
YAY for friend-time! That's awesome! Also, GO YOU for editing! (Editing is my least favorite part of the writing process. I may have mentioned this a time or six. ;-)
ysilme: over 2k of a diary-like entry, which was soothing as well as motivating as far as "flowing writing" goes. Oh, that sounds lovely! <3 And congrats on your vaccination! *\o/* sylvanwitch: I added 505 words to the weird western this evening, which was much more than I'd expected to get Sorry to hear about the rejection, but that's great work! Yay you!
28th: 1,873 on my WIP -- filling in gaps, starting in on the epilogues. The whole thing is still very ragged, but it's getting closer to a ragged whole. :-)
ysilme - yay, covid shot! sylvanwitch - sorry you got another rejection, but hopefully the links are useful.
Everyone in my writers' group is between projects right now so this week we're all going to pitch 2 or 3 potential projects and see what everyone responds to. So today I got a little bit of a start on coming up with new ideas to pitch.
On the 27th, I wrote 600 words on the new longfic (total wordcount: 6,400). Also I wrote a Dreamwidth entry and listened to beta feedback on the last chapter of the poly fic.
June 27th - 1213 words, a double drabble and the first draft of the fic that's due by the end of the month. Eep! I'll have to edit and post it tonight.
This weekend was a blur of heat, and there was also a small online writing con I attended (or, well, tried not to fall asleep all the time during watching the panels), so very little writing happened on days 25-27. However, I did one small discord sprint a day all weekend, and that helped me accumulate almost 800 words for the newest short story. It's sharing up to be really on the short side, so maybe I'll even finish it before Camp NaNo starts!
I totally feel you! We had a bad heat wave two weeks ago, then a week of much cooler rainy thunderstorms, and then again a swelteringly hot day tomorrow with another cold period predicted... heat waves are bad enough, but the continuous up and down is even worse. Yay for getting writing down even so! *\O/* Taking naps is very sensible in that climate.
