Day 20: A lot of hanging out with friends! A fair amount of talking about exchanges and fic-writing as a process! And like a paragraph of fic-notes that I'll hopefully be able to write into proper scenes tomorrow. :)
You know, sometimes that happens, at least to me, so I can relate. I think we need that kind of rest, and I think society tells us it's laziness or lack of focus or something, but as in many things, society can go stuff it. ;-)
YAY for alibi sentences! That's what they're there for! :-)
20 June - 300 words and finished the too hot piece. Will get it posted tomorrow. Also noted down a very cracky idea. I don't know if I will follow up on it, but I didn't want to lose the idea by not writing it down.
Congrats on finishing the piece and good luck with posting. Also, YAY for writing down cracktastica. Even if we don't do anything with it, it's fun to roll around in our heads, isn't it?
Day 20: More sort of poking around in a lot of things. It's been hard for me to concentrate, so I'm just doing a little bit here and a little bit there. It did move several things forward -- a little bit! 8-)
Ysilme: I'm glad it's cooler! It's cooler here too (but no thunderstorm!)
Sylvanwitch: It sounds like you're getting some good from your writing exercises. I've been eyeing a book of prompts/exercises, but haven't actually picked it up yet. ;-)
I can definitely recommend the prompts/exercises idea. I find having a little nudge helps me to tap into the words. The outcome isn't always anything that will ever see the light of day, but more and more, I'm coming to understand that good doesn't necessarily mean marketable and that not everything has to be either of those things.
YAY for moving things forward bit by bit, regardless of total word count. Progress is progress, and you're making it! YAY!
Day 20 was spent trying to build up some more queue for the new project, and a lot of creativity expounded in playing games with friends, which needed a lot of words constructed in interesting ways.
Hi. I'm new. Not sure quite what I should be doing, but hopefully I don't mess anything up.
I've been doing a 'at least 100 words a day' goal for the year. I've missed 2 days so far when life got in the way, but have otherwise maintained my goal, with some days hitting that minimal target, and other days getting a great many more words. (The second missed day was June 10th, but otherwise I've successfully written at least a little something every day this month).
For June 20th, I wrote 117 new words on my Marvel Trumps Hate project 1.
Welcome! It's great to have you here. You've got the right idea: Just check in each day (if you can) and let us know that you wrote for that day. If you fall behind, you can check in on the most recent WED entry with the dates on which you wrote, and we can add you to the tally that way too.

And whoops, it looks like you missed checking me in for the 18th. (Yesterday I checked in for the 18th and the 19th both.)
