ysilme here: 684 words for day 23, with about half for the NP, plus like yesterday over an hour of organizing and rearranging files, character sheets and Scrivener documents.
The quote really resonates with me, sylvanwitch; among the most things I learned about writing was to do exactly that. Great choice!

Jul 23: Formatted and posted the thing! And then went back to the story start for the new pairing, and added a chunk to that. This story may be more fiddling/experimentation and less a story, as I get a feel for who these two are and what makes them go. Which is fine, if that's how it goes.

Fiddling/experimentation: Oh, I only mean that this pairing is new to me, and I'm still figuring out what makes them tick. So I'm trying things out and seeing what works, and there's a chance that this story start may never be anything more than a playground, and may not grow up into a proper story at all.
