Indeed, it's among my favorite types of smut, so I'm enjoying it, which is the point. Escapism FTW! :-)

I wrote on day 24: 252 words on Victorian lady spy AU fanfic. I want to write more, but I'm sore and tired — I spend most of the afternoon digging up rocks from around a walnut tree behind my house so that the stump grinders can come tomorrow and make it go away. So I'm about to take some ibuprofen and go to bed so that I can get up on time tomorrow and hopefully be less painful.

Ugh! I always find that kind of work really satisfying because it's tangible--I mean, you'll see the stump gone soon--but I also tend to overdo it because it needs to be done and then regret it later. I hope the ibuprofen and sleep helped!

YAY for words on such a physically taxing day!

Ibuprofen and sleep seem to have done the trick. I'm a tiny bit sore today, but not much.

The stumps are gone! Yay! When the guy showed up this morning, I warned him that there might be rocks around the walnut tree stump. He said that watching for stumps is part of the routine process but thanked me for the heads-up. As it turned out, I'd missed at least half a dozen rocks ranging from fist-sized to head-sized!

It's just a short S1 Giles/Jenny story written for a friend's weekly challenge and the summer_of_giles challenge. I always enjoy writing Giles (have several stories up on AO3 under this user name)

It is *so* important these days. I'm trying not to feel guilty about it as the summer slowly grinds toward fall, and I know I need to begin my preparations for the new school year.

Day 24: 802 words. I admit to writing an extra, not exactly relevant sentence to nudge it up to the next hundred. *coff*

ysilme and sylvanwitch, both of you inspire me by writing comfort or nostalgia or self-indulgent fic just for yourselves. So I've been looking at some of my weird sketchy drabble-y things and going "hmmmm." Maybe nobody will like them but me, but what am I, chopped liver? ;-) So I'm poking at them a bit. Thanks for the nudge!
