sylvanwitch here with two alibi paragraphs totaling 88 words. We spent a lovely day at an arts-and-crafts festival about an hour and fifteen minutes from home and the moseyed our way back by way of two different Lake Erie beaches, where we were able to take some nice rambles.

1065 word on the Victorian lady spy AU. Big conversation tonight — Madame Jisoo told one of the students at the academy that she was considering recommending her for a career as an assassin. There's going to be some soul-searching before the student is able to respond to this.

Finished round 1 of text updates to Chosen of Kore & realized I need a round 2, at least. The changes remain minor, but I still need to go over it with a fine-tooth comb (or several).

Wrote a bit of short fic set between the books -- realizing as I'm a discovery writer it helps me more to actually write short fiction to figure out what happens on the timeline, seeing as book 2 starts about 5 months after the end of book 1. That's a lot of time for stuff to happen to/around the characters, so. The nice thing about doing this is it means I have a bonus scene to share with readers at some point.

And then I started rewrites on book 2! These are not text updates; this is a full, start-from-scratch rewrite of a book that was originally published a decade ago. At first I thought I would go methodical, figure out everything before I started, but then I decided to wing/pants it and I'm having a great time so far.

I'm a discovery writer also, and find the idea of getting possible bonus scenes out of this later so very intriguing! I once saw a fanfic writer offering "outtakes and bonus material" on their journal which is such a cool idea.

Thank you! ♥ But you're wrong; my photo skills aren't anywhere close to that, on the contrary. ;op I'm actually more or less only doing point and shoot, although the "pointing" might take a long time, and I'm often waiting patiently for the right moment to take a ton of pics and then choose the best. For this shot I was just very lucky to have a very calm sea and ample time: we had a holiday cottage facing the sea in this direction, and all I had to do was leaning against the side wall and wait for the sun and waves to combine in a way I liked. What I seem to have, though - according to several fans of my photos - is a good eye for a good shot, choice of field of view and angle and such - the one thing I'm taking away from having a master in art history, and the countless hours spent with detailed descriptions of paintings. *g*
