ysilme here: just the barest alibi sentence, there simply wasn't time between all the cooking and other preparations, including lots of work for the church homepage in preparation for tomorrow. (In Germany, the evening and night of the 24th, the Holy Evening, is the main Christmas celebration, starting in the afternoon, while the 25th or First Christmas Day is mostly dedicated to a festive dinner and time spent with the larger family.)

sylvanwitch here: First day of real break with no grading to do! Yay! I spent most of it wrapping presents, but I also added 829 words to the novel, stopping just before I kill of one of the central secondary characters.

Mm, I don't think there was anything to 'get over' so much as I had to wait until I was in a headspace where writing a scene about sex didn't seem like a chore. xD; But yeah, it's nice having it be Done.

Thank you! *hugs back* It's been nice and quiet, and likely as good as it could possibly get with the current circumstances with my MILs illness and everything else. The magic eludes me, and during dinner I got a bad headache from lack of sleep and exhaustion. But I had a pill and some sleep and will now have a peaceful hour or two on my own, which is lovely.

Thank you! To be honest, this kind of alibi sentence - really just three to five words - has become a no-brainer since I'm doing WED regularly, as my writing file is open for most of the day anyway. These days, I try to write at lesat something I'm going to use afterwards, and usually some thinking about the story in question has happened during the day anyway. You'd think actually writing the alibi words wouldn't make a differnece, but oddly, it still does, for whatever reason.
(Your mentioning of Dieas Irae brings the Mozart and the Verdi one to my mind. I've sung both, and although I've never much listened to both Requiems otherwise, I still can sing the Dieas Irae of both by heart, and the one was in 1987 and the other in 1992. My brain is a WEIRD place. LOL )

I got another late start and the bulk of the day was spent editing a

fandomtrees story that got LONG and added 216 words to it I added 240 words to a holiday Pson fic + 635 words and finished another

fandomtrees story. I have one more of those to tackle.

Day 23: alibi nano sentence. I have come to the horrible realization that I need to rewrite my outline for the scenes from here on out. Hopefully I can do this soon, and hopefully my alibi sentences will hold until it's done.

Good luck with the rewriting of the outline. On my current project, I'm so far off-outline that I gave up trying to rewrite that and instead have just spent a lot of time jumping around the outline and cobbling together the overlooked elements. It's been working, sort of? Anyway, I appreciate what you're saying here and empathize, for sure.

Interesting! Glad to hear it's at least sort of working. :D I wrote an outline maybe 30k words ago and it set me up for a while, but as I've written, things have changed. Now I'm in a place where I need to think about what I'm writing now in terms of the overall picture, but the overall picture (outline) doesn't match what I'm writing now... but redoing the whole thing is going to take a fair amount of time. I'm probably only halfway through this expletive story, for which I don't have a ton of motivation right now anyway, so this might be what gets me to move on to another project... but not today!! (Hopefully.)

Dec 23 - 600 word, finishing the yuletide piece started yesterday (and yes, the wordcount was ridiculously typo-ed -- two extra zeroes. It should have been 430). It needs a title and a summary, and I should be able to post it in time to be in the main collection. Hopefully one or two single drabbles will happen for madness too.

Lol! No, no, her death was planned from the very beginning of the novel; it's sort of important for All Things to Be Revealed to the protag. Still, it was a difficult death to write, more so than some, though less so than others. :-)
