Date: 2021-06-29 01:50 am (UTC)YAY for ridiculous crossover fic! *does the posting dance*
(no subject)
Date: 2021-06-29 12:45 am (UTC)Today: 124 words on my fic.
also, its bloody hot.
(no subject)
Date: 2021-06-29 01:51 am (UTC)Go, you, for getting ANY words done under current conditions!
(no subject)
Date: 2021-06-29 10:18 pm (UTC)Good writing result, too!

Date: 2021-06-29 04:10 am (UTC)More heat wave today, breaking yesterday's record, which broke the day before's. (But the heat has broken! Just now! The temp dropped twenty degrees in ninety minutes HOORAY!) But I did get some writing done before I got heat-stupid: mostly just an expansion and improvement of the scene I wrote yesterday, but it counts and I'm also pleased with it.
(no subject)
Date: 2021-06-29 05:48 pm (UTC)Anyway, YAY for the break in the heatwave! That's SO great! I mean, it's awful that you're having it at all, and I can't help but feel, as someone who briefly majored in environmental politics in undergrad in the nineties, that doom is a'knockin', but hey, the heat has broken! YAY!
Also, Wooo-hoooo for new words and for being pleased with them!

Date: 2021-06-29 04:41 am (UTC)29th: 1262 words on the WIP (filling in one missing scene and adding to the epilogues, mostly).
(no subject)
Date: 2021-06-29 05:49 pm (UTC)Wow, that's a fantastic word count! You're going like sixty on this thing, as my father used to say (meaning going really fast).

Date: 2021-06-29 04:56 am (UTC)(no subject)
Date: 2021-06-29 05:49 pm (UTC)YAY for words, too!

Date: 2021-06-29 05:43 am (UTC)sylvanwitch - 561 words still sounds pretty productive!
I jotted down another logline to pitch to my writers group on Thursday, but right now I'm struggling a little bit to come up with ideas. Other than ideas for cheesy Christmas movies ... which would be great but I really need to write a second sci-fi pilot to go with the one I finished in May, so I can prove I'm not a one-trick pony. No pressure!

Date: 2021-06-29 05:51 pm (UTC)How about a sci-fi Christmas movie? *grins* I wish you luck in hunting down another idea. But hey, if you DO end up getting that Xmas movie made, it might end up being filmed hereabouts (we have a town that's become a sort of go-to for Hallmark Xmas movies), in which case, assuming you visited the set, we might get to meet in person. I'm sure that's great incentive. (Note: sarcasm. No one is interested in meeting me in person. ;-)

Date: 2021-06-29 05:13 pm (UTC)Ysilme: Lately I've come across the idea (in several different places) that one thing that creative people who are successful and prolific do is to follow the path that seems easiest at the moment -- according to this, working on your drawer fic is just what you should be doing! 8-)
Sylvanwitch: Snake Riders! I'm curious about your weird western -- not least because I also wrote an "unexpected" weird western a while back (well, a long while; it's sitting in first draft in a WIP folder...). Maybe one of Terry Pratchett's "inspiration particles" that sleet through the universe is one that inspires an Unexpected Weird Western. ;-) Anyway I'm glad you're having fun with it!

Date: 2021-06-29 05:58 pm (UTC)Good for you for putting down the silly essay and turning back to your notes. I hope you find a way to bring all the related parts together that makes you happy and furthers the progress of the story for you. Good luck! :-)
