ysilme here: I spent a lot of time pondering the plot of my MSV assignment and came up with a new spin I really like. Written words of fic only about 30, plus several hundred words of nonfic of various kinds, most of them at least fandom-related.

sylvanwitch here: 3915 words finished out the penultimate chapter, which means I have the climactic final chapter and the brief epilogue to write tomorrow. I think I can do it? Stay tuned. ;-) (I'm fewer than 2000 words from breaking 250K for the year, and I KNOW I can do that tomorrow. That'll also put me at over 40K just for this month. Whee!)

I am wishing for you no need for arm warmers as soon as it's humanly possible for someone to come to fix your system. In the meanwhile, I'm glad you have both writing and knitting to keep your mind off of the cold, if that's possible at this stage of things. :-)

Yay! That sounds like fun! Sometimes, my favorite part of writing a story is coming up with the ideas, and I have to discipline myself (not in the fun way, more's the pity) to actually write the damned story at all. ;-)

Check-in: Decided that the story I was working on needs time to simmer before I continue with it, so last night I switched back to the Sprawling Monster. Wrote a couple hundred words to improve the ending to a scene, and spent some time today fiddling with a weak chapter ending, trying to figure out how to improve it.
